Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a hunting safari with Hunt The Sun. By paying a deposit or confirming a booking, you agree to be legally bound by these terms.
1. Booking Confirmation and Deposits

A deposit of 50% of the total daily rates is required to secure your safari dates.

No safari dates are locked or guaranteed until the deposit has been received and cleared in our bank account.

The remaining balance of the daily rates, package costs, and any pre-booked fees are due prior to or upon arrival at the safari camp.
2. Trophy Fees and Additional Charges

Trophy fees are accumulated based on animals harvested or wounded during the safari.

Any animal wounded and not recovered is legally considered taken, and 100% of the standard trophy fee is payable before departure.

Final payments for trophy fees, extra days, ammunition, or additional services must be settled in full at the safari lodge before your departure from the camp.
3. Cancellations and Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable if a booking is canceled within 90 days of the scheduled safari start date.

Cancellations made more than 90 days prior to commencement may be rebooked for a later date within the next calendar year, subject to a reasonable administrative modification fee.

Hunt The Sun reserves the right to cancel a safari at any point prior to arrival due to unexpected regulatory changes, safety conditions, or acts of God. In such rare instances, alternative dates or a full refund of payments received will be provided.
4. Client Liabilities, Visas, and Permits

It is the sole responsibility of the client to ensure they possess a valid passport, necessary international travel visas, and required firearm import/export permits.

All hunting activities must strictly follow the instructions and ethical fair-chase guidance of your assigned Professional Hunter (PH).

Hunt The Sun reserves the right to immediately terminate the safari of any client who acts recklessly, endangers staff or wildlife, or violates local South African hunting laws.
5. Insurance, Health, and Indemnity

Medical & Travel Insurance: Clients are highly encouraged to purchase comprehensive international travel, medical evacuation, and trip cancellation insurance before arriving.

Assumption of Risk: Hunting safaris take place in wild bushveld terrains involving inherently dangerous wildlife. By entering the safari camp, clients voluntarily assume all risks associated with the expedition.

Liability Waiver: Hunt The Sun, its outfitters, professional hunters, trackers, and lodge staff accept no liability for any illness, injury, accident, fatality, or loss of personal property during the safari. A standard physical indemnity form must be signed by all participants upon arrival at the lodge.
6. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising out of this agreement shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African legal courts.
